Foo Mania Day 7
Foo Fever continued with another action-packed day. It was the last day for Round 1 and we got to see some cool Foosball action.
Twisted Sides won a decisive 5-0, 5-2 victory over the Pink Panthers with Venu Gaaru scoring 7 goals.
It’s All Skill mercilessly crushed the Fly-Foose 5-0, 5-1 with Vipin scoring 7 goals.
Mummy With Half Paddle conquered another victory over the Dilemmatic Duo, winning 5-1, 5-0, CK scoring 9 goals.
The nervous but enthusiastic Pseudo Foo Fighters won 5-2, 5-3 against the relatively (and reportedly) relaxed Twisted Sides, with Akhila scoring 7 goals.
PFF won another straight victory over the Fly-Foose, winning 5-1, 5-1 with Kavita leading the charge this time and scoring 7 goals.
The Foose-Bonds beat the Golden Eagles 5-4, 3-5, 5-1 in a neck-to-neck and very engrossing match. Ashwini was the high scorer with 9 goals to her credit. Swathi too scored 8 remarkable goals.
The Fire Drill kind of interrupted our schedule but we resumed with 2 matches. Silent But Deadly won over Enigma 5-0. 5-0 with Rajesh scoring 8 goals. Foorious emerged victorious over Enigma, 5-0, 5-0 with Nidhi scoring 6 goals.

The Dilemmatic Duo won 5-0, 5-4 against Enigma with Krishna and Sudarshan giving them a good fight. Kanchan played instead of Madhu and was the high scorer in this game with 6 goals to her credit.

The day’s action kicked off with a truly nail-biting match between Silent but Deadly and Foorious, SBD facing their first loss in a set this time. However, they lost a battle but won the war, emerging victorious with 4-5, 5-1, 5-2. High scorers were Rajesh (11) and Nidhi (7).
The Foose Bonds won a decisive 3-5, 5-0, 5-1 victory over the persistent Dilemmatic Dou with Ashwini scoring 8 goals.
Mummy with Half Paddle outshone the golden Eagles 5-4, 5-1 with both CK and Shilpa scoring 5 goals each.
We had a close match between the Latikas and Pseudo Foo Fighters..no one daring to guess till the last moment who would win. Pff finally conquered the Latikas 5-3, 2-5, 5-3 with Akhila scoring 7 goals and Aruna being the high scorer with 9 goals.

The day’s matches kicked off with a match between Mummy with half Paddle & the Foose-Bonds. MWHP won 5-1, 5-4, with Foose-Bonds putting up a good fight. The high-scorers were Srikant (8) and Ashwini (4).

It’s All Skill conquered yet another victory in a nail-biting match against the Pseudo Foo Fighters, winning 5-1, 4-5, 5-2. Foo fans at RMZ got to see a match continuing into the 3rd set after many days. Vipin (11) and Kavita (6) were the high scorers in this game.
Twisted Sides outshine the Latikas, winning 5-2, 5-1, both Liju and Venu scoring 5 goals each.
The Golden Eagles mercilessly routed Enigma 5-0, 5-0. Swathi and Gargi scored 6 and 4 goals respectively.

Silent but Deadly left the Foose-Bonds dumbfounded with yet another stellar performance, winning 5-1, 5-1, Kunder scoring just as many goals as Sheethala this time (5 each).
The Dilemmatic Duo put up an admirable resistance against Silent but Deadly, with both Madhu and Ashwin hitting goals. However, SBD conquered another victory 5-2, 5-3, both the deadly players scoring 5 goals each.
The Pseudo Foo Fighters mercilessly routed the Slum Cat Millionnaires 5-1, 5-0, with Kavita scoring 6 remarkable goals.
In spite of best efforts from Chris and Shreyas, the SlumCat Millionnaires lost out against Twisted Sides 5-1, 5-0. Liju scored 9 outstanding goals one after another.
It’s All Skill added another jewel to their crown with their 5-0, 5-0 win against the enthusiastic Pink Panthers, Vipin scoring 7 goals.

Foo Mania Season 2 - Day 1
Foo Mania Season 2 - Day 1
Foo Mania kicked off at 10:45 am yesterday with the first match of our tournament being between Foorious and Mummy with Half Paddle. The match consisted of 3 nail-biting games with Nidhi and Roopesh putting up a decent fight. However, blessings from Shilpa's mummy and CK's ingenuous half-paddle shots led to a well-deserved win for them. Foorious scored 11 goals and MWHP scored 14, the high-scorers of this game being CK (12) and Nidhi (8).
The very next match was the Dilemmatic Duo vs. the Golden Eagles. The Eagles soared high in the sky with Swathi not letting go of a single opportunity to score and Gargi putting up a strong defence. The GE scored 10 goals and DD scored 3, including clean defence shots from Madhu and quick goals by Ashwin. Swathi was the high-scorer of this game with 9 goals to her credit.
At 1:45 pm we had a match between Enigma and Foos Bonds. The Foos Bonds dominated the game from the beginning. Divya put up a strong resistance and inspite of Krishna and Sudarshan's best efforts, Ashwini scored 10 brilliant goals, leading to a decisive victory for the Foos Bonds.
The next match at 3:45 pm was the Fly-Foose vs. the Pseudo Foo Fighters. Vishnu and Jasmine played their aggressive game, scoring 10 goals. Akhila and Kavita put up a good fight but the Fly-Foose were the show-stoppers. The high scorer for this game was Jasmine with 7 goals.

Season 2 - Foosball Team Details
A total of 14 energetic teams have registered themselves for Season 2 of the Foosball Tournament.
The 14 dynamic teams have been divided in to 2 groups i.e. 7 teams in each group. These teams will play a round robin tournament. In a single round-robin schedule, each participant plays every other participant once within their respective groups.

Foosball Returns
Hello to all our fans! We're back with Season 2 of the foosball frenzy.
Its time for another clash of the titans. At this time of recession, we have organized yet another foosball championship, to bring back and re-live one of the values of Yahoo!
We invite everyone to join in and play with the true spirit of sportsmanship. For the rest who deny themselves of the game, please be there to cheer your friends and teammates to victory!
I repeat, at this time of recession, we request you to generously contribute Rs.50/- towards the entrance fee per team.

The Foosball Mafias Lifts FM Cup
The Foosball Mafias emerged champions of Foosball Mania 2008 winning the closely-contested final against V Rock! 5-1, 5-4. Rajesh Kunder scored eight goals to seal his team’s victory and to end as this season’s top scorer.
The final was quite simply one of the well-played and entertaining matches that this season saw. Prior to the match there were no clear favorites as both the teams walked in from the semis with the help of Goal Differences. TFMs came into the firing mode faster than the V Rocks. They came close to blank V Rocks in the first game but a beautiful pull shot from Shilpa’s striker denied TFMs that. With out accepting any further damage TFMs bagged the game 5-1 (Sapna 2, Kunder 3). The star of the first game was Sapna who guarded TFMs home from the frequently patrolling V Rock shots.
The second match saw V Rocks desperately trying a come back. Sheethal fired some long-range shots from the V Rock goal front, she succeeded four times to give the game a nail-biting end. If it was Sapna in the first game then it was Kunder who stole the show this time. Kunder scored all the five goals to stamp the game and Match for TFMs (5-4).

Goal Differences present TFMs Vs V Rock Final!
V Rock! got the better of Chimps 5-2, 5-0. Struck by the late realization, Chimps whelmed TFMs 5-4, 3-5, 5-4. Filled with vengeance and desperate to keep them afloat, TFMs thrashed V Rock! 5-1, 4-5, 5-0. The semis of Foosball Mania 2008 ended up in a tie with all three teams winning a point each with goal difference being the deciding factor to set up the finale.
It’s a V Rock! Vs The Foosball Mafias final, according to the Goal Difference.
